VietNamNet Bridge – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the opening of a Vietnamese Consulate in China's booming Eastern seaboard city of Shanghai. The Prime Minister delivered the news at a reception held for the visiting Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Quan Zhezhu, in Hanoi, on June 11. Vietnam is always eager to become a legitimate partner of foreign investors and of course that includes those from China. The private economic sector is an area that “we believe is very significant to our development strategies,” the PM said. Quan, who is leading a delegation of 42 businesses to Vietnam on an investment fact-finding tour, said he hoped his association and the Vietnam Chamber of Industry and Commerce would sign cooperation pacts to create favourable conditions for Chinese investors inside the country. The delegation is slated to continue their tour when they depart for the central provinces of Ninh Thuan and Quang Nam on June 12. (Source: Viet Nam Net) |
